Huginn – Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Huginn (the "App"), developed by Didier Fuentes. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Use of the App
Huginn is an iOS app that connects to a Gmail account, classifies unread mail into categories you define using a language model running on your device, and runs the actions you configure for each category. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
Gmail Access
Huginn accesses your Gmail via the Gmail REST API using OAuth 2.0. By signing in with your Google account, you authorize the App to read your messages and modify their labels — including marking as read, archiving, starring, and applying labels. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the App complies with Google's own terms of service for your account.
Automated Classification Disclaimer
Huginn classifies, summarizes and extracts information from your email automatically, using a language model. These results are best-effort and will sometimes be wrong. An email may be filed in the wrong category, summarized inaccurately, or have the wrong values extracted from it.
Where you enable automatic actions, a wrong classification produces a real change to your mailbox: an important message may be archived, marked as read, or labelled incorrectly. Actions that modify Gmail are reversible from Gmail itself — archived mail is not deleted, and labels can be removed — but you are responsible for reviewing anything that matters.
Automatic classification and automatic actions are switched off by default, and turning them on is your decision. Huginn is a triage convenience, not a system of record. Do not rely on it as the only place you would notice an important email.
User Content
The App accesses and caches your email locally on your device. Huginn does not store your email on external servers. You retain ownership of your email at all times.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the App
- Use the App in a way that violates Google's terms of service or the Gmail API usage policies
- Abuse or overload the App or the services it depends on
Third-Party Components
Huginn runs open-source model weights obtained from Hugging Face when you select the on-device Qwen3 backend. Those weights are licensed by their respective authors, and your use of them is subject to their licences. Model behaviour is not warranted by us.
Changes and Availability
We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable if the App or any feature becomes unavailable, including where Google changes, restricts, or withdraws access to the Gmail API, or where a device stops supporting on-device inference.
Limitation of Liability
Huginn is provided "as is" and "as available."
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Didier Fuentes is not liable for any damages resulting from:
- Incorrect classification, summarization, or field extraction
- Mailbox changes made by actions you enabled
- Missed or overlooked email
- Data loss or service interruptions
- Changes to Gmail API availability or access
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
